Water Balancers

Water balancers are very important in order to ensure high water quality. Some examples of water balancers include alkalinity up, calcium hardness up, ph down, spa increase and spa decrease. After water testing, you will be able to identify which type of chemical is needed for your water.

Sanitizers/Shocks

These chemicals are used to clean the water and eliminate bacteria and any other unwanted chemicals which may be present in the water.

Clarifiers

These chemicals are designed to clear the water

Cleaning chemicals are used to kill bacteria in your water and make it healthier for users

Routine Maintenance

Test water for bromine or chlorine, pH and alkalinity.

Adjust pH to 7.6 - 8.2 and alkalinity to 100.

Repeat sanitation as in the "initial treatment" (add bromine or chlorine as needed).

Rinse off the filter cartridge with fresh water. Soak the filter in cartridge cleaner monthly, or more frequently if you have a large bather load.

 

The chemicals may be seem confusing to begin with, but there quite simple when you get the hang of it.

If your new to water maintenance there are starter kits that are available, not only will they include all the right chemicals, but they'll also have the instructions for using them as well.
